Virginia Space Flight Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that aims to expand access to innovative learning experiences, career pathways, and mentorship that advance equity and increase interest in STEM careers.
Space Adventure Camp is a 6-day, 5-night residential camp experience at Wallops Island, Virginia, that combines introductory courses in robotic and aerospace academics with behind-the-scenes tours of aerospace facilities and traditional camp fun. Through this residential camp experience, students learn essential 21st-century STEM skills to become the innovators of tomorrow.
We also offer Advanced Camps is Aerospace, Coding, and Robotics.
Our unique location near NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facility, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, and Rocket Lab provides a dynamic backdrop for the camp experience. Through partnerships with these agencies and aerospace companies, field trips are built into the camp experience, providing students with a unique opportunity to meet and learn from experts in the STEM fields. Campers go behind the scenes to meet engineers and tour launch pads!
The engaging STEM curriculum and unique location, paired with evenings full of fun at the neighboring beach destination of Chincoteague and Assateague Island, make this camp an experience of a lifetime!
