Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The TAA AeroCamp and AeroChapter programs inspire adventurous youths between 12 to 16 years old to explore aviation beyond just flying an aircraft. Participants gain comprehensive insights into airport and aircraft operations, aviation history, and various career paths within the aviation industry. The AeroCamp program is split into multiple levels, requiring prior levels for advancement, culminating in advanced flying experience with overnight events. Led by instructors with extensive flight experience, cadets enjoy a safe and engaging environment that encourages future careers in aviation fields, including flight instruction, safety inspection, and engineering. AeroChapter runs during the academic year and focuses more on in-depth flight training and operational proficiency, including solo flights and flight planning. These programs take place at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, offering a complete and immersive aviation education experience with real flying time incorporated.
