Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Summer Camp at Oakland School offers a unique and enriching experience backed by more than 75 years of supporting academic growth, confidence, and personal development. Set on 450 scenic acres just outside Charlottesville, Virginia, Oakland’s summer program perfectly balances academics with the joy of a classic summer camp.
Academics—including math, reading, and phonics—are thoughtfully woven into the daily schedule, with small class sizes and 1:1 instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning profile. Our approach helps campers:
Beyond the classroom, campers enjoy a wide range of activities, including horseback riding, swimming, archery, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. Each day balances structured learning with recreational fun, giving children the opportunity to grow intellectually while still enjoying everything summer should be.
Our program is an ideal fit for children with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia and ADHD, who benefit from our specialized, success-oriented approach. It is equally transformative for students seeking an academic boost or those who simply want to build confidence and create memories that last well beyond the summer.
With day and overnight options (boarding available for ages 9 through high school), Oakland’s Summer Camp helps elementary, middle, and high school students foster independence in a supportive environment.
Our specialized teen track includes PSAT Prep, multisensory literature studies (such as Hamlet), and advanced critical writing strategies to prepare students for high school success.
Ready to give your child an unforgettable summer of growth and fun?
