Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Johnson County Park and Recreation District presents Shawnee Mission Indoor Summer Camps, designed for children ages 5 to 12, providing a comprehensive program filled with diverse activities that promote fitness, creativity, and social interaction. These camps happen at multiple sites across the Shawnee Mission School District and are staffed by experienced professionals licensed by local health authorities. Campers engage in a range of activities from sports and arts to weekly swimming and field trips, all structured to offer fun and learning throughout the summer. The program lasts nine weeks, from early June to early August, with sessions running weekdays from early morning to early evening. Registration involves a $75 fee and commitment to full tuition payments. Attendance at the swim sessions requires purchasing a city pool pass. The weekly cost is set at $165 for the first child and includes a sibling discount to support families. Due to limited availability, early registration is recommended to secure placement at preferred locations.
