Broadcasting Specialty at Pali Adventures
Running Springs California
Budding reporters will learn the basics of writing stories, reading on camera, reporting on-location, working from an anchor desk and the use of cue cards. Campers are taught everything from camera operation and lighting to tv show production. Campers produce newscasts that are shown daily at dinner for the entire camp, and posted online for proud parents watching at home. Campers love the thrill of watching themselves on screen and will take home a DVD of their work.
In addition to the glitz and glamour, we teach the importance of ethics in journalism and interview techniques. Future TV journalists are taught editing techniques and green screen. Advanced campers will also have the opportunity learn how to create cool graphics as seen on network news.
