Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
This program provides middle school students with a dynamic, one-week introduction to veterinary medicine through engaging, hands-on experiences and lectures led by professionals at Tufts University. Students will develop practical skills such as animal handling, bandaging, suturing, and clinical examination techniques while working closely with animals on the Cummings School Farm. The curriculum also includes learning to interpret x-rays, implementing teamwork to solve medical cases, and practicing intubation in a modern simulation lab. The day camp operates Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is held at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine campus in Grafton, Massachusetts, roughly an hour from Boston. This commuter program does not provide housing, but local accommodations are recommended on their website.
