Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Advanced Vet Camp offers teenagers between the ages of 12 and 15 an immersive summer camp experience aimed at those considering a future in veterinary medicine. Over four days, campers delve into more advanced veterinary topics and gain hands-on learning opportunities, including the chance to observe live surgeries with parental consent. Camp activities encompass direct animal interactions with a variety of species, from common pets like dogs and cats to smaller animals such as guinea pigs and ferrets. In addition to the practical lessons, campers engage in themed crafts and games that enrich their knowledge and enjoyment. The program runs daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM from July 7th to 10th, with early arrival and late departure options. All camp attendees receive materials, a T-shirt to be worn for safety, and crafts to take home. Led by trained staff and volunteers certified in first aid and CPR, the camp emphasizes a safe and educational environment, making it ideal for teens eager to explore the veterinary profession deeper.
