The Acadia Institute of Oceanography is located in the coastal town of Seal Harbor, Maine next door to Acadia National Park. Our exciting and educational hands-on programs introduce students to the physical, chemical and biological aspects of oceanography through work with salt water tanks, at tidal pools, on board boat and in the field. Successful graduates of the summer programs can apply to attend one of our tropical winter programs in San Pedro, Belize at the Tropical Research Education Program (advanced sessions only) or our Florida Exploration Program.
