Designed for high school students aspiring to dive into the healthcare profession, the Wake Forest Summer Immersion Medicine Institute provides a comprehensive and hands-on educational experience. Hosted at Wake Forest University’s campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this immersive overnight program spans from Sunday to Friday and is open to students in grades nine through twelve. The curriculum includes exposure to several medical fields such as Cardiology, Surgery, Pulmonology, and more, facilitated through hospital visits, simulation labs, and direct practice of clinical skills like ultrasound and suturing. Students will interact closely with medical school students and healthcare professionals, gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience. Upon completion, participants receive an official certificate from Wake Forest University. The program tuition is $3,400, and the specific dates for 2026 will be announced by November 1st.
