Wags & Whiskers Summer Camp

The Wags & Whiskers Summer Camp provides an enriching and enjoyable environment for children fascinated by animals. Through a blend of interactive activities, games, and creative projects, children learn essential pet care skills, the importance of animal safety, and explore various animal-related careers. Camps are run in collaboration with the Five Oaks Community Center for some sessions, extending the program’s reach. Designed for children aged 6 to 11, the camp features weekly sessions with unique themes like exploring pet care basics, environmental stewardship connected with wildlife, and exploring careers working with animals. Participants gain direct experience with shelter animals, engage in enrichment and training exercises, and benefit from educational guest presentations. This camp encourages young people to form meaningful connections with animals while gaining insight into animal welfare and related professions.
