Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Designed for high school students interested in veterinary medicine, the Veterinary Summer Experience Program immerses participants in educational and practical veterinary learning. The first five weeks involve shadowing veterinarians at local practices in the students’ hometowns, offering real-world experience in animal care and veterinary operations. The final week takes place at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, where students engage in lectures, clinical rotations, and laboratory sessions to broaden their knowledge of the field. This comprehensive program runs from June 17 to July 19, 2024, and is available to qualified students at no cost. Applicants need to submit an official application, their high school transcript, and three letters of recommendation by the stated deadlines, and express a clear interest in pursuing veterinary medicine as a career.
