Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
VetCamp provides an immersive educational experience for students in grades 6-12, focusing on careers in veterinary medicine. Hosted by the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and sponsored by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation, this camp offers hands-on activities led by veterinary students. Participants rotate through modules where they solve veterinary cases using simulation animals, learn about various veterinary specialties, and discover toxic substances harmful to pets. The camp lasts about 3 hours for self-hosted sessions on campus, with varying lengths for partnership sessions. VetCamp typically offers camps during the Fall and Spring semesters, and multiple sessions are available in the summer. With an affordable $15 registration fee and financial aid options, VetCamp encourages students to explore the veterinary field through engaging, practical experiences that promote critical thinking and curiosity.
