Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Designed for students entering grades 10 through 12, Vet Camp provides an immersive educational experience into veterinary sciences and animal care. Campers will acquire practical skills such as milking cows, caring for calves, handling livestock, shearing sheep, performing artificial insemination in pigs, and horse handling. Additionally, participants will explore veterinary hospital procedures including animal dissection, suturing, ultrasound operation, blood analysis, and histological sample evaluation. The program curriculum covers essential veterinary subjects like animal anatomy and physiology, medical management, ethical practice, emerging technological advances, and parasite control. Campers must dress appropriately with long pants or skirts, closed shoes, and bring rubber boots, avoiding shorts and loose clothing for safety. The structured weekly activities involve hands-on learning at various facilities including research centers, dairy farms, wet and radiology labs, and equine farms, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging camp experience.
