VCU Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP)

VCU’s SAEP provides a comprehensive six-week summer experience designed to emulate the first-year experience in health professional schools such as dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, and physical therapy. Participants engage in focused coursework and supplementary non-credit classes in key sciences, support sessions including interview preparation, professionalism training, and community engagement activities. The program offers a structured environment with a stipend, requiring participants to reside on campus and commit fully to the program activities, ensuring readiness for professional school admission and success. Attendance and commitment are strictly monitored, with policies in place for absence and conflicts.
