Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
VCOM-Auburn’s SEE Camp offers an enriching week-long experience for high-achieving rising juniors and seniors in Alabama interested in healthcare and medicine. Over the course of the program, students gain hands-on exposure to medical training through advanced anatomy and simulation labs and introduction to research basics. The camp focuses on personalized education, with faculty providing tailored instruction in small groups to facilitate better understanding. The program features authentic healthcare simulations using cutting-edge technology similar to that used by medical students, allowing participants to experience clinical education firsthand. Students network with healthcare professionals, gaining valuable insights into various medical careers. They also participate in collaborative research projects, culminating in a presentation to faculty and their families. Living on campus gives campers a preview of college dormitory life while fostering friendships and motivation for their future careers. The free program includes lodging, meals, and all program activities, is capped at 16 participants, and favors applicants from rural regions of Alabama. The camp dates are June 1-7, 2025, with applications accepted in February and March.
