Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The University of Vermont’s Summer Academy is a rigorous four-week pre-college program catering to academically motivated high school students in their junior or senior years. This program offers both residential and commuter options, with two weeks of intensive on-campus coursework followed by two weeks of online studies. Through this hybrid format, students earn three college credits while experiencing real university life, including residence hall living under close supervision and participation in various extracurricular activities geared to enhance learning, community engagement, and well-being. Courses cover diverse subjects, from animal science and forensic diagnostics to psychology and mathematics, all taught by UVM faculty at undergraduate academic standards. The Summer Academy provides access to university facilities and supports, helping students transition smoothly into higher education. Tuition is discounted or covered via vouchers for eligible Vermont residents, with a total program fee including room, board, and activities. Sessions begin on June 30, 2025, and conclude July 25, 2025, offering a unique blend of academic challenge and college preparatory experiences designed to prepare high school students for future college success.
