Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Raptor Center partners with University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness to offer various summer youth camps with themes centered on raptors and their habitats. These camps are designed for different age groups ranging from 6 to 15 years old, offering immersive experiences such as discovering raptor anatomy, environmental conservation, the lore of wildlife with creative themes, and the application of biomimicry in engineering inspired by birds of prey. Sessions operate daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during June through August. Participants will interact with live raptors and professionals in conservation and wildlife careers. Partner camps include explorations of ornithology at the Bell Museum, artistic discovery at MCAD, and nature immersion at Richardson Nature Center. Registration details are provided by the University as well as partner sites, with transportation coordinated for some camps.
