UHSEP is an intensive, residential summer program at the University of New Mexico tailored for freshmen college students aspiring to enter health profession fields. This four-week program offers a comprehensive curriculum focused on academic enhancement and social growth while living on campus during weekdays. Students participate in diverse activities such as learning study techniques, connecting with health professionals, engaging in community service, and gaining practical health career experiences. The program supports students through a stipend, mentoring, and resources to help them plan their academic careers effectively. Participants must live in university dormitories during the week and adhere to university conduct standards.
