Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Offered by UMass Chan Medical School, the Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is a comprehensive, no-cost four-week residential experience for college sophomores and juniors interested in health careers. Participants improve their qualifications for medical and professional schools through enrichment courses like physics related to physiology, seminars on admissions and financing, and health research projects focusing on Massachusetts cultural groups. The program includes pre- and post-tests, daily coursework, guest lectures, and practice application and interview preparation. Candidates engage with healthcare professionals and may opt for weekend Emergency Department observations. Successful completers earn a certificate and stipend. The SEP encourages students from disadvantaged backgrounds and collaborates with various institutions to foster diversity in the health professions.
