UMass Amherst’s Summer Pre-College Programs offer high school students a unique chance to experience college life while engaging in intensive academic studies across multiple fields. These two-week residential programs enable rising sophomores to seniors to immerse themselves in college courses, live on campus in residence halls, and enjoy campus amenities and social activities. The curriculum encompasses a broad array of subjects such as digital animation, microbiology, business ethics, physics programming, and veterinary medicine, among others, catering to diverse interests. Programs are available both on-campus, including at the Mount Ida Campus, and online, providing flexible participation options. With support from live-in assistants and expert instruction, students gain critical skills and insights, preparing them for college and future careers in a supportive and dynamic setting.
