Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
UAMS provides the MASH summer program, a free day camp aimed at Arkansas high school students interested in healthcare professions. Designed for 11th and 12th graders who have taken biology, students engage in interactive learning, tours, and professional exposure in various healthcare fields. The MASH program runs mostly for two weeks, with some locations offering a shorter version. It is available across multiple locations statewide, including UAMS campuses, hospitals, and colleges. In addition, the CHAMPS camp caters to younger students (9th and 10th graders) with shorter sessions of three to five days. Supported by key partnerships like Arkansas Farm Bureau and federal health organizations, these camps have successfully engaged thousands since their inception in 1988.
