Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Academy of Information Technology & Robotics (AITR) is a STEM-focused, project-based program where students collaborate in a problem-solving and critical-thinking environment. This four-year academy provides extensive hands-on experience and opportunities to earn industry certifications in ITS Python, Java, and RECC Pre-Engineering and Robotics, depending on students’ chosen focus area. AITR features a multi-class-period model that allows for deeper learning, extended project time, and real-world application of computer science, engineering, and robotics concepts.
Classes meet 5th-7th period on campus, offering flexibility for project work and focus paths in programming or robotics after 9th grade. Students can dual enroll without schedule conflicts. The program includes courses for 9th to 12th grade, covering foundational programming, robotics, advanced programming, and AP courses with opportunities to earn industry certifications. The program emphasizes problem-solving, research, communication, time management, and technical skills, preparing students for careers in high-tech fields or higher education.
