SWIC Aviation Summer Camp

Southwestern Illinois College’s SWIC Aviation Summer Camp is a three-day program designed for high school juniors and seniors to explore the fascinating field of aviation. The camp combines practical experiences, expert panels, and guest presentations to educate campers on multiple aspects of aviation, including maintenance, flight operation, and technology. A highlight includes the chance for campers to fly in real planes and engage with professionals from the aviation industry. Campers also explore airport firefighting equipment and interact with groups offering career guidance and flight school information. This program inspires participants by exposing them to the broad range of careers in aviation and aims to fuel their passion for this growing career field.
