Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP)

SHPEP provides an opportunity for college students early in their academic career to engage in a comprehensive summer program focused on health professions education. Participants receive rigorous academic support in sciences and mathematics, practical clinical experiences, workshops on career development, study skills, and financial management. This program is offered at a dozen select medical and dental schools across the United States, each hosting up to 80 students. Applicants must be freshmen or sophomores, holding U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status, maintain a GPA of at least 2.5, and have not attended the program before.
