Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Summer Health Immersion Program at Centre College is an intensive one-week summer camp tailored for newly admitted students who have an interest in healthcare careers. Held on campus, the program allows students to preview college life and academic expectations, particularly focusing on pre-health professions including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and veterinary sciences. Participants will gain foundational skills in math and science applicable to introductory pre-health courses, meet with faculty and pre-health advisors, and engage in a collaborative scientific research project. Residential accommodations are provided, with meals included, offering a supportive community environment facilitated by student resident assistants. This initiative helps new students acclimate to university life and solidify their career goals while creating valuable connections with peers and professionals in the health field. Sessions run from July 13 to 19, 2025, with students arriving Sunday afternoon and departing the following Saturday morning. Participation is available to incoming students from Kentucky who express interest in health-related professions; however, the number of participants is limited.
