The Summer H.E.A.T 2019 program offers high school students an immersive week-long experience to explore healthcare careers. Available to students graduating in 2019 through 2021, this program combines classroom orientation and hands-on labs at Raritan Valley Community College with practical exposure at Hunterdon Medical Center. Over five days, participants engage in nursing simulation and specialized lab activities before spending four days shadowing professionals across multiple healthcare disciplines including nursing, pharmacy, radiology, and physical therapy. With sessions running Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the program aims to deepen students’ understanding of healthcare work environments and career options. The $200 fee covers lunch, and early application is recommended due to limited seating.
