Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Every summer, Story County Conservation hosts nature camps designed to immerse children in outdoor learning and activities. These camps accommodate a range of ages starting from kids entering kindergarten through middle schoolers, each with programs tailored to their developmental level. Younger campers experience the wonders of nature through activities involving animals, plants, and natural elements, while older campers engage in skills like archery, survival techniques, and water sports including canoeing and kayaking. The camps encourage exploration and education across various local parks and natural settings, with opportunities for overnight camping and adventurous expeditions. Registration for these popular camps begins in mid-April, and spaces fill quickly, so early registration is advised to secure a spot.
