The 2025 STAHR Scholars Program offers an enriching 6-week summer camp followed by an academic year of mentorship and professional development for high school juniors and seniors aspiring to enter health professions. Held in-person at the UMKC Health Sciences Campus, the summer program immerses students in clinical shadowing, research, and community engagement. Afterward, scholars continue to receive guidance and support to enhance their applications and gain valuable healthcare experience. The program is free, provides stipends or scholarships for qualifying participants, and gives special admission opportunities to select UMKC health programs. It particularly targets students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those committed to serving underserved communities.
