Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
Hosted at UNC Chapel Hill over eight weeks, the Science Enrichment Preparation (S.E.P.) Program serves as a prestigious academic summer camp focusing on students interested in Medical or Dental School careers. It targets rising sophomores and juniors who are first-generation college students or come from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Participants engage in intensive academic coursework covering subjects such as Physics, Organic Chemistry, Human Physiology, and Biostatistics with more than 150 hours of instruction. Beyond academics, the program offers seminars to improve reading, test-taking, essay composition, and interviewing skills. The S.E.P. experience is enriched by clinical exposure through visits to healthcare facilities and professional shadowing opportunities. Offering educational resources, on-campus lodging, and financial stipends, the program supports students’ academic and professional journeys while emphasizing community impact and healthcare access for underserved populations.
