School to Scrubs Rural Medicine Camp

This 2-day School to Scrubs Rural Medicine Camp held at the Vashisht College of Medicine campus welcomes rural Texas high school students to engage directly with the medical profession through practical and engaging sessions. The camp, on June 13-14, 2025, is tailored for students ages 14 and above in grades 9-12, offering interactive learning and a chance to connect with medical faculty. Districts must register students and provide chaperones, who are subjected to background checks and required training. All essential camp costs, including lodging and meals, are covered at no charge to the districts. The agenda includes a college fair, breakout sessions, keynote speakers, recreational activities, and career panels to enrich the students’ understanding of healthcare careers.
