Founded in 2020 in Kansas City, Red Tail Academy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring and educating youth between the ages of 12 and 18 in aviation. Its founders are local pilots who have a passion for supporting underrepresented young individuals to gain access and training within the aviation sector. Inspired by the pioneering Tuskegee Airmen, the academy aims to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in aviation. Through its programs, it emphasizes creating opportunities and building a skilled, diverse, and confident workforce for the future of the aviation industry.
