Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Ranger START Camp is a dynamic, three-day program designed for children in grades 3 through 8, held at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. This camp offers an exciting blend of science, technology, art, recreation, and tool-based learning, all facilitated by NWCC faculty and expert coaches. Campers engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including exploring scientific concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, and anatomy, as well as diving into advanced technology like 3D printing. Sporting activities like basketball, soccer, football, and volleyball are also integral, with instruction from NWCC’s specialized coaches, focusing on skills development and enjoyment. The camp’s schedule balances learning with breaks and fun, supporting an interactive and encouraging atmosphere where students can nurture their creativity and intellectual curiosity. Participants also get to express their artistic talents through activities such as watercolor, drawing, and printmaking. Overall, the camp aims to spark enthusiasm for learning and provide opportunities for youngsters to expand their horizons in a nurturing collegiate environment.
