Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The Quantum and Laser Fusion Science Camp is designed for enthusiastic high school students and teachers eager to deepen their understanding of quantum science. Held at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, the camp runs from July 14 to July 25, 2025, covering foundational quantum principles during the first week, followed by hands-on applications in the second. Participants will explore complex topics such as quantum uncertainty, entanglement, quantum computing, and laser fusion energy. The curriculum centers on using the scientific method for inquiry and discovery, fostering teamwork and presentation skills. The camp features lectures and instruction from leading experts at Texas A&M University’s Institute for Quantum Science & Engineering, and includes special guest speakers from renowned scientific institutions like the National Academy of Sciences. Selected teachers receive stipends and are encouraged to bring their students. Tuition, housing, and meals are provided at no cost to participants thanks to generous funding, with some travel assistance available. The camp also invites the general public to attend daily morning lectures. This prestigious and comprehensive program offers a rare chance to engage deeply with cutting-edge quantum science and laser fusion research.
