Participants live in dorms, with meals provided, immersing themselves in a college environment. Under the guidance of NYIT medical student mentors, campers learn about the rigors of medical school and gain firsthand experience with activities like bovine heart dissection and interactive workshops led by local healthcare providers. The camp is intended for students living in Arkansas or Delta states, helping them explore future academic and career paths in health care. Application requires submission of an online form along with a personal statement by April 10, 2025. This initiative also emphasizes community health education and is offered at no cost to students, funded by a generous anonymous donor.
