Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
This summer camp offers a veterinary enrichment experience specifically tailored for teens aged 14 to 18 who are eager to explore animal care and veterinary sciences. The program is highly interactive, providing practical exposure to various veterinary activities such as grooming, handling, vaccinations, diagnostics like ultrasound and radiography, lab work, dentistry, and surgical observation. Operating four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), the camp hours run from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, including a lunch hour where campers have the option to bring their food or leave and return. Campers are given a distinctive T-shirt for the camp and must adhere to dress codes that ensure safety and professionalism. The use of personal electronic devices is restricted to foster focus, with phones kept by staff during camp hours. Participants are encouraged to bring note-taking supplies and engage actively, sharpening their curiosity and knowledge. The camp experience culminates in a field trip to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where campers and their families can explore veterinary educational facilities.
