Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The University of Kansas Medical Center’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion hosts a valuable summer opportunity for students interested in medical and health science careers. Their Pre-Med Summer Programs offer a five-week Health Science Enrichment Institute on the KUMC campus, designed for recent high school graduates as well as college freshmen and sophomores. Participants engage in upper-level courses like Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, and Introduction to Medicine, enhancing their knowledge and skills in health disciplines. The program supports participants with a stipend and funds essential expenses including tuition, meals, and partial housing for those who live beyond a 30-mile radius. This initiative aims to assist underrepresented students in their pathway to health careers by providing a rigorous educative experience and fostering professional growth. Prospective students should apply before March 15, 2019.
