Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
NERA MedPrep is a no-cost summer program tailored for college freshmen and sophomores from New York City and New Jersey who aspire to attend medical school. It spans three consecutive summers, providing a comprehensive curriculum that builds core competencies required for medical education and the MCAT exam. In the first summer, students develop foundational knowledge in sciences and verbal reasoning, alongside acquiring study techniques. The second summer provides intensive MCAT preparation and clinical exposure at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. During the third summer, participants engage in research projects related to healthcare issues in diverse populations, learning about the scientific method and ethical research practices. Throughout the program, students receive mentorship, admissions advice, and career guidance. The program particularly encourages applicants from underrepresented communities and those with a strong commitment to service. It demands full-time participation and offers stipends to accepted candidates. There are no fees to apply.
