Mt. Lebanon School District’s Summer Program is designed to engage students across multiple grade levels in academic and enrichment activities during the summer break. The Summer Learning Center is a structured five-week program for students entering grades 1 through 6, focused on reinforcing core skills in language arts, math, and social development using flexible teaching methods and thematic activities to make learning enjoyable. For students moving into grades 4 to 8, the Summer Enrichment Program offers a variety of intellectually engaging activities fostering skills in areas like math, communication, technology, and critical thinking. High school students have access to Continuing Education classes that include preparation for the ACT and SAT, health education, and driver’s education, providing them with essential skills and knowledge for their future. Additionally, the district promotes Waterfront Learning, which offers a variety of online courses facilitated by qualified teachers and supported by resources for both students and educators, ensuring a versatile and comprehensive summer educational experience.
