Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
This enriching week-long summer program offers residential experiences focused on healthcare careers such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, research, and population health. Held in Jackson, Mississippi, participants spend their days at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and nights at Millsaps College, with transportation provided. The program is free, covering housing, food, and activities, funded by HRSA. Eligible students are juniors or seniors who live in rural areas (population less than 20,000), are at least 16 years old, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have parental consent. The camp also includes ACT prep and workshops to assist personal and professional growth, aiming to foster healthcare career interest among rural youth.
