Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
At Montgomery College, animal lovers can develop their expertise through diverse noncredit courses in animal care, including training for Veterinary Assistants, hands-on Pet First Aid and CPR sessions, and a detailed three-part Animal Reiki course teaching energy healing techniques. Starting in the fall, the Veterinary Assistant Training offers a thorough curriculum to help students gain skills for working at veterinary clinics. The pet care courses also emphasize business fundamentals for those wanting to start pet care services, and preparedness training to ensure pets’ safety during emergencies. Students learn both theoretical and practical aspects, including handling live animals safely. The Rockville Campus hosts these classes, which cater to adults 18 and older. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis with summer registration for fall courses. This program is well suited for individuals passionate about animal welfare, whether pursuing a career or enhancing pet care knowledge.
