This summer camp, Mini Medical School 1, provides a comprehensive introduction to medicine for youths aged 11 to 13. Held at the University of Georgia’s Health Sciences Campus, the camp facilitates learning through interactive team activities, engaging projects, and hands-on experiences related to human body systems. Campers gain exclusive opportunities to explore advanced laboratories and use innovative medical technology. Throughout the camp, students practice essential clinical skills including patient interviewing, lab procedures like dissection, and participate in realistic medical simulations. Led by medical students in partnership with university faculty, the program is designed to challenge and motivate participants with a practical and inspiring curriculum.
