Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
This behavioral health-focused summer camp is tailored specifically for incoming middle school students (grades 6-8) and is offered at no cost. Over the course of five days from early to mid-August, students learn about mental health and human services careers through hands-on experiences and thematic sessions on wellness, art, recreation, and self-care. Located in the Machetanz Building at MatSu College in Palmer, Alaska, the camp runs during standard daytime hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch and hydration. The program aims to educate young teens about holistic approaches to health and equip them with supportive strategies to maintain their mental health during the school year, all while encouraging future exploration of behavioral health professions.
