MedStart Camps Montana

Montana’s MedStart Camps, conducted by the Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), offer a unique week-long experience for high school students from rural, low-income, and first-generation college families to delve into healthcare professions. These camps, offering one transferable college credit from Montana Tech, take place during late June to July across major college campuses in Billings, Bozeman, Miles City, and Missoula. Participants engage in hands-on activities, career discovery, and shadow healthcare professionals in various hospital settings. The program emphasizes community connection and inspiration, showing students viable healthcare careers in their home state and fostering lifelong professional relationships.
