MedQuest Health Career Exploration Camp

Since 1994, MedQuest Health Career Exploration Camp has been helping high school students in Oregon explore careers in healthcare by providing immersive, community-specific camps. MedQuest offers two overnight camps known as Rural MedQuest and Frontier MedQuest, as well as a day camp in The Dalles and an additional day camp tailored to specific student groups. The program is designed to offer hands-on healthcare experiences, including learning skills like CPR, suturing, and vital sign measurement using state-of-the-art equipment. Students have the chance to shadow professionals such as doctors, nurses, and EMTs, gaining insight into various healthcare professions. This camp not only exposes students to existing and lesser-known healthcare pathways but also equips them with college preparation tools and professional connections. Attendance requires completing an application process and health clearances. MedQuest fosters an environment where students can explore, learn, and build a foundation for a future in healthcare, particularly emphasizing rural health career opportunities.
