Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
The MEDacademy Aspiring Physicians Program offers a comprehensive four-week summer experience for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in the medical field. Hosted at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, NJ, this day program introduces students to medical education through focused study on four specialties: Pathology, Neurology, Cardio-Pulmonary, and Gastroenterology. The curriculum includes interactive lectures by medical students, hands-on exercises, clinical simulation, and case discussions. Students also have the opportunity to observe clinical settings at Cooper University Hospital, health pandemic conditions permitting. The program concludes with a final group presentation of a health research project. Successful completion awards credits transferable to Rowan University Biology major or general electives at other colleges. Student engagement is emphasized through active participation, weekly assessments, and research poster presentations. Tuition is $3,000 with limited scholarships available, focusing on financial need and academic merit.
