Mayo Clinic CARES is an exciting program specially curated for high school students in Arizona who aspire to enter healthcare careers. It offers a unique chance to engage with Mayo Clinic professionals and gain insights into diverse healthcare roles through a competitive selection process. Students benefit from participating in activities that enhance their professionalism, personal development, and wellness. The program fosters leadership and helps students understand the medical field’s many career options, although it does not include shadowing or research positions. Established in 2019, it has expanded to accommodate 40 students annually through a mix of virtual and face-to-face learning, making it a valued platform for future healthcare workforce leaders.
