Participants learn through engaging activities, such as CPR certification, suturing, nursing, emergency room procedures, dental health, dissections, and sports medicine. Besides classes, students shadow healthcare professionals to gain observational experience and knowledge about the medical industry. The program operates under the guidance of the Arkansas Farm Bureau and UAMS youth programs. Applications for the camp can be obtained from school guidance counselors between February and April, with specific deadlines varying by site.
