Held on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus, the MASH Camp offers high school juniors and seniors a unique two-week residential experience focused on medicine and health sciences. This program immerses participants in biological sciences and medical applications through practical tests and classroom instruction by university faculty. The Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center sponsors the camp annually, emphasizing the promotion of healthcare awareness throughout Louisiana. Campers not only explore various medical topics but also have the chance to earn college credit by passing a final exam. The immersive on-campus living experience allows students to experience college life, connect with like-minded peers, and make informed decisions about their future careers in healthcare fields.
