Linking Camps and Campers Since 1995
During the summer, the MaineHealth Summer Undergraduate Research Program provides a valuable ten-week full-time internship that immerses students in biomedical research across MHIR’s multiple centers. Running from early June through early August, participants work 40 hours a week on diverse research projects, gaining hands-on experience while receiving a stipend. While students must arrange their own transport and accommodation, the program supports them with housing resources in the Portland area. Supported by prestigious organizations and scholarships, the program facilitates not just research but also professional and social enrichment through lectures and networking events. Open to graduating seniors and community college students with strong academic records, the program fosters a supportive environment for innovation and discovery in the biomedical sciences.
