LSU Health Shreveport offers targeted pre-professional programs to assist aspiring medical students in enhancing their applications. Through personalized Medical School Advising sessions, prospective students receive tailored support from the assistant vice chancellor, helping them set and meet educational and career objectives. Moreover, the institution provides a focused six-week online MCAT preparation course led by Kaplan, available each spring and summer. This course accommodates 25 students and is designed to improve MCAT readiness for those meeting specific GPA and test score criteria, promoting better performance in admissions.
